Iran is the third largest producer of cucumbers in the world with an annual production of more than two million tons.The main product in Iranian greenhouses is cucumber, which has high quality and a very good market for export.
Cucumber is harvested all year round in Iran. Spring cucumber production in Iran is in areas such as Jiroft, Kahnooj, Poldakhtar, Darrehshahr, Nahavand, Sar Pol-e Zahab, Golestan province and greenhouse production. In summer, cucumber is produced in most parts of Iran. Also, autumn cucumber production is done in Dezful, Cheraghabad cities in Fars province, Varamin and greenhouse products. In winter, this product is harvested in Jiroft and Kahnooj, Dezful, Bandar Abbas and greenhouse products.
